St Lawrence C.E. Primary School is lovely village school catering for the educational needs of children from rising five up to eleven years of age. Our school sits in lovely grounds in our charming village.
The accommodation consists of the main school with a school hall where we gather together as a school 4 times a week to worship and celebrate. This space is also our dining hall, and also where we hold events such as parent workshops and recognise cultural events, such as Chinese New Year. The main school building also houses our Early Years classroom, where the youngest children begin their learning journey at St Lawrence. This classroom has its own outdoor space so that learning can take place both inside and outside the classroom.
We have a large demountable classroom that has three classrooms; Years 1/ 2, Years 3/ 4 and Years 5/ 6. These classrooms all have their own entrance/ exit to the large playground area.
One of the main attractions of our school is the environment in which it sits. We have a large playground area and an even larger field including garden, allotments and forest area. The children take advantage of these grounds through Eco club, gardening and outdoor learning, as well as weekly lessons in the forest area.
