On Wednesday 8th May, children from St Lawrence and Tibberton took part in the Bayley Mile road race in Wellington. It was the 26th anniversary of the race, and the weather was warm for running, especially an uphill finish!
All of the children did incredibly well, with Lottie coming 2nd in the Under 11s race! Due to the hard work, persistence and resilient running of all the children, we finished 1st as a team in both the Under 11 Girls and Under 11 Boys categories- a brilliant achievement given we are among the smallest schools in Telford.
As always, the children represented their federation very well, and showed great teamwork and support for one another. We also had comments on how smart their sports tops looked, so a big thank you again to our sponsors who helped buy new sports kit this year.
