St Lawrence CE Primary was delighted to host the community celebrations for the 80th anniversary of VE Day on Saturday 10th May.
Alongside a treasure hut around the village, guests enjoyed a range of craft activities, trying on a soldier’s uniform, traditional games and informative and interactive stands from the Telford First Responders and Telford Search and Rescue.
Crowds were entertained by a 1940s band and the school choir whilst enjoying light refreshments and were treated to the sight of a Lancaster Bomber flying over en route from RAF Cosford.
