Hello and welcome to Class 4, which is home to our oldest children in school: Year 5 and 6. Mrs Hemmings is the class teacher in this class, supported by Mrs Leon and Mrs Sankey. We love making learning come alive, for example going caving so we understand how it would feel to be down a mine or packing our space rations to explore new worlds!

During the Autumn term this year, Class 4 were enrolled as trainee astronauts and graduated after compiling their mission reports from their journey to the moon and creating some out of this world space art. Following this, the class undertook a spy mission, during which they took part in caving beneath the Welsh hills to experience the journey Alex Rider (from Stormbreaker, by Anthony Horowitz) took to enter Sayle Enterprises.

In the spring term, Class 4 will experience what it takes to survive on a desert island and will use their experience to create a survival guide for any adventurers that follow in their footsteps!

Year 5 and 6 children also have the opportunity to take part in a week long residential trip. This year, we visited Manor Adventure, where the children faced their fears and amazed us with their resilience and bravery.
