Celebrating 25 years of World Book Day

On Thursday 3rd March St. Lawrence staff and pupils celebrated 25 years of World Book Day. We had a wonderful day reading books and taking part in a range of activities linked to texts. During the afternoon pupils from all classes took part in a ‘family’ day whereby the children were mixed. It was wonderful to see the older children working collaboratively with younger children and we firmly believe that they all learn new skills by this way or working.
As part of our celebrations children entered a ‘Book Scene’ competition and have been creating some marvellous box themes of favourite stories. We have been overwhelmed with their creativity and how much effort pupils have put in to this work. Please see below some of the amazing work created.

Class 1 work this week

Bea decided to make a space poster/picture. She decided that exploring space was important scientifically, and that there are many innovations that come from this and because of it. “astronauts are very clever and brave”

Paramedic in the making!

Well done to Darci for completing this activity pack at home and working hard on our ambition for the future.
